Hot Tub Water Test Strips

Testing your Hot Tub’s Water

No matter which method of sanitization you use, you need to test your hot tub’s water in order to keep it properly balanced. These spa test strips are incredibly accurate and amazingly easy to use. There are no dyes to mess with, and all it takes is 15 seconds to measure the levels in your spa. You just dip the strip into the water and get instant results. With these test strips, you can measure everything from Total Alkalinity and pH levels, to residual levels of Spa Activator, Bromine, and Chlorine.

Thermo Clear Test Strips
Use with the Thermo Clear sanitizing system to measure pH, Total Alkalinity, and Spa Activator levels in your spa. These strips make it simple and easy to measure exactly what is needed to maintain the proper balance in your water.

Each strip has three separate pads for the three things you need to test. There is a simple color chart on the back of the bottle for you to compare the results on the strip, and the color of each pad indicates the current level in your spa’s water.

Test the water weekly with these simple test strips.

Chlorine Test Strips
Use with the Chlorine sanitization method to measure the pH, Total Alkalinity, and Free Chlorine levels in your spa.

Each strip has three separate pads for the three things you need to test. There is a simple color chart on the back of the bottle for you to compare the results on the strip, and the color of each pad indicates the current level in your spa’s water.

Test the Free Chlorine level often to maintain proper sanitization.

Bromine Test Strips
Use with either the Two-Part Bromine or the Bromine Tablet sanitization methods to measure the pH, Total Alkalinity, and Total Bromine levels in your spa.

Each strip has three separate pads for the three things you need to test. There is a simple color chart on the back of the bottle for you to compare the results on the strip, and the color of each pad indicates the current level in your spa’s water.

Test the Bromine regularly to maintain proper balance.

Water Hardness Test Strips
Use to measure the level of calcium, or “hardness” in your spa’s water.

Each strip has a single pad, and there is a simple color chart on the back of the bottle for you to compare the results on the strip. The color of the pad indicates the current Water Hardness level in your spa’s water.

Test the Water Hardness bi-weekly, especially if you have soft water that needs to be hardened with Liquid Calcium.

TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) Test Strips
Use to measure the chemical saturation level of your spa’s water to make sure it is not over-saturated. Chemicals lose their sanitizing capability when the TDS level is too high, and sanitizers are no longer effective.

Each strip has a single pad, and there is a simple color chart on the back of the bottle for you to compare the results on the strip. The color of the pad indicates the current TDS level in your spa’s water.

Test the TDS monthly to ensure safe levels.

Excess Sanitizer Level
Please note that an excess level of sanitizer might not produce any reading on your test strip because you have gone beyond its reading capabilities. This can lead to adding more sanitizer, which can only make matters worse.
