With the newest advancements in technology and materials, today is the best time to consider buying a new hot tub, healing and therapy Spa hot tub, or swimming and exercise spa. What are some of the main features to look for when looking into a hot tub purchase for you and your family?

The first feature that you’ll want to look at is the shell of the hot tub, both the size of the shell, and its construction and the materials used are important factors. Many cheaper hot tubs available on the market, although inexpensive, end out quickly fading, cracking or simply are not able to withstand the pressure. Of the many features of a hot tub, all can be replaced except for the shell.

Another important feature is the system of water purification you will choose. With the different chemicals and chlorine needed to purify the water in a hot tub, monthly expenses can get costly, not to mention the irritation and allergies they cause to your skin or from breathing in the strong smells. Choosing an ozonator offers a more natural way to oxygenate the water, disinfect and kill bacteria, viruses, molds and chloramines.

What type of heater, or heating system does the hot tub offer? Since you’ll be using your hot tub year round, this should be an important feature that can hold up under a variety of weather conditions and should last for several years. Many of the heaters offered in hot tub packages are simply made out of stainless steel. Although a durable and strong material, with chemical conditions such as chlorine added, along with body oils, and extreme outdoor conditions, the heating elements made from stainless steel will quickly begin to wear away, pit and corrode. The far more durable and strong titanium metal is superior, and will last up to 10 years longer.

Other important features you’ll want to look into for in your hot tub will be the jets. To get the most benefits in your spa experience you’ll want the ideal number of jets, well placed along with a solid control mechanism. These features will give you the best therapy, relaxation and enjoyment that you can with your spa.

As with all hot tub spas, safety is a paramount feature when water mixes with electricity. So, make sure that the hot tub manufacturer you choose has a solid reputation in the business and is well known to many satisfied clients. Unsafe hot tubs are simply not worth the cheaper price.

Hi, My name is Chuck Laflamme from Ocala,FL. and I want to commend Mr. Rick Rush on the terrific job that he did for me & Alberta on Friday evening 08/29/08. He arrived on time for our appointment and was very well prepared to answer any & all of our questions. He took the time to explain all the points of the product in a very professional way which I truly appreciated. He did not use any "High Pressure" sales pitches, but let the quality of your product sell itself. We built our tub with his help and recommendations and I must say I am looking forward to receiving our new ThermoSpas hot tub. Once again thanks Rick and the rest of the ThermoSpas support staff!! Chuck & Alberta

…not so "ye-ha!".The installer delivered the unit… set it in place (in our indoor Spa Room)… ran through a few tips, then left for his next installation. He was friendly and professional. After a little clean-up, I ran a hose to the unit and started to fill it up while working on the final electrical connection. About 15 minutes into the filling process, I notice a large amount of water issuing from under the spa. I immediately grabbed blankets, towels and other absorbent materials to slow the flood that was now threatening my basement. I shut off the water and started to look for the source of the leak.In the meantime, my wife called our installer… he told her "…it's just a coupling, don't worry about it". It wasn't (see attached picture). It took a while to find the leak. By the time I did, there was about "an hour's worth of cleanup" all over the floor. I was not able toplug or fixthe leak… I stopped it by emptyig the tub.We called our installer to see if there was anything he could do. He said we must call for Service. I called for service and was immediately put on hold. After some amount of waiting, I was told that they were trying to get a service technician onsite today, but that he was not picking up the phone. That was a real "confidence builder"… I wasthen informed that the earliest a technician would be able to repair the spa was Tuesday… one day AFTER I fly to Europe for 3 weeks. We never received a follow-up phone call from Service to confirm one way or the other… or to set up a time on Tuesday.I inspected the shipping container when it arrived. I saw no visible signs of damage. I watched the installation, the technicians were very gentle. So, if in fact this spa was "leak tested" not once, but twice at the factory (as our salesman told us it would be)… how did this happen. When I look at the cause, I find it hard to believe that this was tested at all… what else am I going to find wrong with this unit?We purchased a ThermoSpa unit and paid a premium expecting quality. It has certainly NOT turned out that way so far. We had a choice of who's system to purchase and chose ThermoSpa. To say the least… I am not pleased. My handicapped wife will be home on Tuesday. She will not have the ability to put the spa into operation by herself if and when it is repaired. This means we will not be able to use the system until I return. This is NOT a good way to start a relationship…Regards,Steven J. Arndt

The urethane head pillows on my townhouse model are finally falling apart (after 13 years). 3 go on with suction cups, and one is screwed on by the pillow jets. I have had no luck finding replacements. Can anyone help? The tub is still going strong. Maintenance items over the years: New pump under warantee, new blower, new air check valves, leak repairs from the winter ice.ThanksFred

About two years ago I purchased a used hottub from a friend. The tub sat in their backyard for years without being used or cared for. When I got it and was trying to get it back to a usable condition I came across a lot of issues. I called the 1-800 number and happened across Milton Velez. I can't say enough about how supportive and patienthe has been in getting me the parts I needed. I replaced the headrests, acrylic handles, and the main circuit board to name a few. He gave me his extension so I can call him directly for any new issues, and believe me there have been. He's a great asset to your company and a pleasure to deal with. Where customer service seems not a priority these days, Milton excels in providingthe best! Thanks again Milton for a job well done!
