Before we purchased our hot tub, I had read testimonials from hot tub owners in Pool & Spa living magazine about all the benefits of ownership, and wondered if what they said was true. Now I know it is! Last Christmas we purchased a ThermoSpa hot tub as a gift for ourselves. When I visited the showroom and saw the “park avenue” in action. I called my husband at work and told him I was buying it! My salesperson said “this is going to change your life.” I had no idea how true his statement would be. The first night we used it, I couldn’t believe how relaxing it was. In fact, because our daughter had sleep problems, I hadn’t been sleeping very well. But after lounging in the hot tub, I slept through the night and dreamt for the first time I could remember in a while. After one soak! I kept thinking, “it’s changing my life!” since then, we’ve been in almost every night and feel much more relaxed at bedtime and rested in the morning. And there’s nothing like a muscle soothing soak after a day of gardening. The kids love it too. They always ask to go in, and run for their suits when we say yes. They bring their toys in with them and play while we sit and relax. And the cool down step is the perfect spot for our 3 year old to sit. It’s a wonderful way to spend some much sought after quality time as a family. Now that the weather is warm and our pool is open, we’ve discovered how great it is to swim in the evening and then head for the hot tub. My husband and I use it at night after the kids are in bed. We’ll keep the pump on low so we can talk and have some special time for just the two of us. Because of busy schedules, it may be the first time that day we can have a conversation that’s not interrupted by something. It’s in our sunroom with all the windows and skylights, so we’ll keep the lights off to look at the stars. It’s gorgeous when there’s a full moon reflecting off the water. Our friends like invitations to our house. I planned a special night when we consolidated the children at a friend’s house with a sitter, and the adults gathered here for dinner and a very enjoyable time in the hot tub. We’ve had more than one couple offer to baby sit our children in exchange for use of the tub. So, do we love our ThermoSpas hot tub? Absolutely! I wish we’d gotten it sooner. It really has changed our lives – for the better. Now I get to be one of those people who brag about how great their hot tub is, and how much we enjoy it. Talk about living large!
