Racing in canoe marathons, I spend many hours training. This involves workouts in the gym, cross country skiing, paddling, and running. Not surprising, my husband got tired of me begging for massages after my training sessions, and that’s just one of the many reasons we sought out the comfort and luxury of a spa. Trust me when I say, “there is nothing better than coming home from a practice and jumping into our spa to massage my sore muscles.” We enjoy our ThermoSpa outdoor hot tub sometimes as often as three times a day. I jump in before practice, after, and again in the evening. I move from corner to corner in our spa to benefit from each of the many unique jets, but I have to say , the reversible lounger is my favorite hangout and where I spend most of my time. Whether it s my hamstrings, my elbow, trapesius muscles, or whatever, I can always tend one or more jets to massage the region. When I’m most sore, I blast the jets and bubbles at their full capacity, to jiggle away the strains and pains. Our spa is a great place to relax and catch up on what is happening in each other’s lives. We are able to spend quality time together with no interruptions, just soaking, relaxing, and catching up at any time of day. At night we light our torches surrounding our deck, watch for falling stars, count the airplanes, afar in the sky, or just close our eyes and relax. We often use our spa before going to bed. When our friends or family come by, we usually spend a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour in the spa. Time slips away as we laugh, drink our favorite beverages, and catch up on each others lives. Everyone gets their picture taken the first time they use the spa, and we have yet to get back any photo that lacked a smile or a look of total bliss on their faces. Our nieces love to use our “outdoor tub”. The toys are tossed in and they play and stay warm while their parents and I soak and catch up. Our neighbor has low back pain and when she gets in, the corner seat is hers for the duration. She raves about how the jets hit her back in just the right spot for relief. We use it all year round, and especially enjoy it in the winter when the snow surrounds us. After cross-country skiing at a local state park our friends join us for a luxurious soak in the spa. Some friends actually got out of the spa with steam rising off their bodies, rolled in the snow and then returned to the spa. Our coldest night was at 10 degrees below zero. We drank a beer and discovered that it tastes really good in the slush phase. Lori Roseboom Mt Vision, NY
