My husband and I are senior citizens with multiple health problems. But, we try not to allow those conditions to keep us from being thankful and enjoying life. When we told our daughter we were having a ThermoSpa (park avenue elite) put in on our patio she looked at us a little funny and smiled one of those “my senior citizen parents are loosing their minds and/or having another one of their “senior moment” smiles.” She shared that bit of trivia with some of her friends. Perhaps during one of their sharing support get-togethers (what are your parents doing now?) They laughed and commented “We didn’t know what to do in a spa.” Well, I’m happy to report the joke is now on them! The Wilson Spa has become a popular family affair. My lower back and shoulder arthritis is greatly relieved. Some days I have painful difficulty moving around, but, 30 minutes in the spa always makes me feel better. My husband’s back and leg problems feel better after each use. We often enjoy some “special time” together. When my daughter visits us, and her time permits, she finds it soothing and it relieves her job related stress. Plus, she says it’s so relaxing. The pre-teen grandchildren think its cool. They have splished – splashed and done head stands in the spa. Winnie, our rottweiler comes into the patio and stretches out beside the spa whenever we get in. I think she really enjoys it during the winter months because she, too, is old and has arthritis, so the steam from the spa probably helps her move a little easier. Even my mom (80 years young) has watched and listened to us dibble (as she calls it) said, “if it makes you feel that good – you should get in every night.” Mrs. Pearl C. Wilson
