A few years ago, I was shopping for a house to move myself and my elderly mother into. My mother has suffered with arachnoiditis, a degenerative disease of the nerves in the back, for over 20 years. Because of this, my requirements were a one story house, at least 2 full baths for privacy, a 2 car garage, and a price I could afford. I searched for many months with no luck. Finally, my realtor showed us a home with all I needed and more. The home had 3 baths and one of them included a ThermoSpas hot tub. I had always dreamed of someday putting one in when I could afford it and now here it was, part of the package. During the first year and a half my mother and I used the tub at least 4 times a week. It had a tremendous impact on both of us since I also suffer from low back pain. Getting in the tub for 20 minutes each night made it easier to get to sleep and helped us wake up feeling refreshed the next day. In fact, my mother who had trouble sleeping due to her pain was able to get a full nights rest with regular use of our ThermoSpa tub. About a year and a half ago I got married to a wonderful woman who also has back trouble. We continue to use the tub nearly every night to help ease our pain as well as to set a romantic mood during the weekend. We often start our Saturday evening with a glass of champagne in the hot tub and quiet music playing on the speakers installed above the tub. Naturally, mom no longer lives here but she does love to visit. For some reason she always has her bathing suit with her every time she comes. Recently, I under went a double discectomy. In the three months prior to surgery, at the recommendation of my Physical Therapist and Doctor, I used the hot tub nightly to be able to withstand my two hour a day commute to work. Without the use of my ThermoSpas hot tub, my pre-operative condition would have been much worse. Now that I have had the surgery, using the tub has enabled me to speed my recovery and will allow me to visit my relatives in France much sooner that the Doctor had anticipated. I can honestly say, that having my ThermoSpas hot tub has had a tremendous impact on my current health and will ensure relief of any back pain I will have in the future.
