I own a ThermoSpa and have for the past 5 years. I live in Florida during the winter months and in Massachusetts during the summer months. I was diagnosed with diabetes approximately 8 years ago and was doing quite well until about 5 years ago when I developed extreme pain mostly in my chest and back. It was so bad I was going to bed at 6 pm to ease it as much as possible. After several visits to my doctor he diagnosed the pain as “Diabetic Neuropathy” and likened it to the shingles. He said that there was no medicine I could take to lessen the pain, it just had to run its course and eventually it would go away. I was in pretty bad shape for the next few months and did not know what I could do. My wife and I went into Hallmark Pools and Spa store in Kissimmee, Florida and looked into buying a spa but knew nothing about them at all. We asked quite a few questions and this particular spa we purchased was a display model on the floor. We still knew little about it and decided it would be an aide for me. So on April 15, 1995 we purchased this “Mansfield Model”. Shortly thereafter we left for Massachusetts for the summer and had not had it installed yet. My chest and back pain was just as bad. So I went back to my doctor and told him I had purchased the spa. His response was “perhaps it will help you some but I really do not know”. Well we returned to Florida in early October and had an addition put on the house and the spa installed and hooked up by an electrician. I proceeded to use it on a daily basis and yes, it did help. My pain eventually went away and moved on to my lower extremities but the hot water and jets are a great way to relax and forget all about the pain for a while anyway. We use this spa daily when we are in Florida and if we had the room here in Massachusetts we would have one here. Unfortunately I do not have the model number here in Massachusetts with me or any literature either. I must also mention that our German Shepherd dog, Buka, enjoys the spa too. Not in the way you are thinking perhaps, but he loves to bring us a tennis ball and throw it into the spa and we throw it back out to him. He plays the whole time we are in there and gets his exercise and has some arthritis in his him and gets little exercise from walking now. This has been a great addition to our Florida home, and now we would never be without the spa. Lawrence Bartlett
