We purchased a ThermoSpa hot tub about ten years ago. I was 52 and my wife was 51 then. Neither of us has medical conditions ten years ago that required water therapy. The hot tub was a luxury item.. It was not a necessity. I quickly discovered that the hot, surging water enabled an ex-jock to walk erect everyday he forgot that he has an 18 year old mind and a 52 year old body. Fortunately the therapeutic effects of the ThermoSpa reduced the stiffness of the chainsawitis, yard work syndrome, snow shovel stupidity, golf swing over does it and the near terminal condition called Turkey Bowl lunacy. Several years ago my wife was diagnosed with arthritis. This condition causes chronic pain in her back. She describes the “ThermoSpa” time as the only hour of the day when she has absolutely no pain in her body. Not content to be pain free, my wife also has “sometimers” disease that causes her to forget that she is just another pretty face in a less reliable body. She then suffers from tiltitis from garden work, shoulder syndrome from golf, and grand children slouch from lifting squirming bodies and spring cleaning allergies that cause predictable but always unexpected, pain and suffering. ThermoSpa is the prescription that works best to address the symptoms of these self-inflicted ailments. Like almost all AARP cardholders, we also have contracted real medical conditions that have affected the quality of our lives. I now have a nerve condition. My wife has a congenital heart condition. Both of these ailments are receptive to the heat and water in the ThermoSpa. We use our tub everyday between October and May to relieve the discomfort of these ailments. We have also found that the spa can play a significant role in stress reduction. We have less tolerance for stress now than when we were younger. Being older has resulted in health related problems, pay check shrinkage, adult children issues, dinners with ex-spouses, additional, but not necessarily welcome nuclear family members, weddings, deaths and just the daily stress of living in an increasingly complex world. Our two best coping mechanisms are: exercise and a silent half-hour in the ThermoSpa. The operative words as we enter the spa are “ahh” and “oh yes” followed by “this is the best purchase we have ever made” or “how did we function without a hot tub”? Our ThermoSpa has transformed from a luxury item to a necessity during our ten years of ownership. Thank you for developing this high quality, reliable and therapeutic replacement for physicals, chiropractors and medications. Tom & Mary Ann Timney
